Research Focus
Dr. Lauren Orenstein, MD, MSc is the Director of Health Services Research for Emory Dermatology. Her research aims to improve the quality of life among those living with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) and other severe inflammatory skin diseases, especially those that disproportionately affect underserved populations.
The group’s active research focuses on:
- Healthcare equity in dermatology
- Pain and other symptom management in Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS)
- Development of patient-centered outcome measures for use in HS trials
Support Group Information
The Hope for HS is a volunteer patient and caregiver-directed non-profit organization supporting and advocating for HS patients.
