Dermatology Center for Outcomes Research and Safety (DCORS)
The mission of DCORS is to provide infrastructure for sponsored clinical trials, investigator-initiated studies, educational research projects, as well as quality and safety improvement.
Feldman Lab
The Feldman Lab focuses on translational dermatology research for improved understanding and therapeutics for patients with autoimmune blistering diseases (AIBD).
Itch Translational Clinic Home at Emory (ITCH-E)
The mission of ITCH-E is to create an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, translational researchers, basic researchers, and patients affected by itching in order to better understand the mechanisms driving pruritus and to develop improved treatments for patients with itch.
Orenstein Lab
The Orenstein lab focuses on improving the quality of life among those living hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) and other severe inflammatory skin diseases, especially those that disproportionately affect underserved populations.
Pollack Lab
The laboratory of Dr. Brian Pollack is interested in understanding how oncogenic signal transduction impacts the expression of immune system genes. Specifically, the Pollack laboratory is interested in how activation of the epidermal growth factor receptor impacts the expression of MHC class I and class II molecules. Further, the lab is also interested in defining in vivo how inhibitors of oncogenic kinases influence T cell-mediated immune responses.
Quave Lab
The Quave Lab focuses on investigating the role of natural compounds in modulating bacterial quorum sensing and biofilm production, with an emphasis on microbes causing skin infection.
Yeung Lab
The Yeung Lab focuses on skin health disparities in sexual and gender minority persons and in people living with HIV and the epidemiology, prevention, and treatment of common skin diseases such as acne and skin cancers (melanoma and keratinocyte carcinoma) as well as measurement of patient-reported outcomes in Dermatology.
