Who’s eligible: Faculty, staff and students in the School of Medicine who apply for federal small business grants to commercialize an invention
Moving an innovation toward the marketplace requires significant funding outside of research grants. SBIR and STTR small business grants, provided by NIH, are an invaluable resource. More about the grants >
To help innovators submit competitive proposals for these grants, the School of Medicine has engaged Vince LaTerza, a seasoned entrepreneur with experience securing SBIR and STTR funding. Vince’s assistance is provided free of charge, though capacity is limited.
The assistance is funded by the Dean’s office and the Emory Vaccine Center. Vince and the applying company may discuss a success fee, payable only if a grant is awarded, as allowed by NIH guidelines.
