Mission

The 3rd Interprofessional Simulation Conference assembles a diverse group
of healthcare educators and clinicians from Emory and beyond to
disseminate best practices for high-quality patient-centered care that
improves education and healthcare delivery through the use of simulation.

Objectives

Upon completion of the conference, learners will be able to:

  • List several best practices used in interprofessional simulation
  • Describe an optimal interprofessional team
  • Identify opportunities in their own work to utilize IP simulation to enhance learning
  • Outline a basic simulation session for use with IP learners or an IP
    team
  • Note the important elements of debriefing an IP team
  • Describe the elements of a useful assessment tool for IP simulation
  • Identify the resources necessary for different types of IP simulation

IPSC3 Schedule

• Day 1 8:00 am – 6:00 pm Marriott Century Center
• Day 2 9:00 am – 1:00 pm ExCEL (OSCE and Sim lab)

Audience

All faculty within health science programs and clinicians are invited to attend, inclusive of medical physicians, RNs, APRNs, PAs, PTs, allied health professionals, pharmacists and chaplains.

Education Credits

The Emory University School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical
education for physicians. The Emory University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a
maximum of 9.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
