Heel to Heal Annual 5k Fun Run

Join us for the 2018 PA 5K Heel to Heal run on Saturday April 21st!

Every year, Emory PA's program hosts a Heel to Heal 5k raise money for 3 charities that provide medical services to the underserved in Atlanta and South Georgia. The Good Samaritan Health Clinic and HEAL Clinic serve patients here in Atlanta while the South Georgia Farmworker Project provides medical care for migrant farmworkers in the Bainbridge, GA area. Our students and faculty are actively involved in providing medical services through these charities. The money we raise for them directly translates to how much care can be offered to patients. More information about the charities can be found on our website here:

This year our race will be Saturday, April 21st. Our theme is perfect pairings, and we encourage all participants to dress up as their favorite duos, trios, and more. There will be food, music, and activities, and this is a really great fun way to support these wonderful organizations. Registration is at:

2017 Heel to Heal 5K raises $25,000!

"April 22nd was a gorgeous sunny day-perfect for the 16th Annual Heel to Heal 5k. Members from the community and Emory students, faculty and staff came out dressed as superheroes in support of the Emory PA Program’s charity work. It was a wonderful day, filled with stories of camaraderie and teamwork. After running through the enchanting tree-lined paths of Lullwater Park Preserve, everyone gathered at the SAAC field to enjoy free food and refreshments, live music from Karen Newell and Dr. Pettus, fun games, a windpouch lounge area, giant bubbles, face painting, massages and a chiropractor offering free spinal adjustments on site! Awards were given to the fastest runners in each age group, and to the person and the pet with the best costumes. The day concluded with a raffle with amazing prizes.

Heel to Heal was special because it united people from all over the country in good spirit. It was a team effort, and each person who contributed was a crucial piece of this beautiful puzzle. Together, we raised over $15,000 which will be used to provide free healthcare to medically underserved populations. Including the value of in-kind donations and services that were donated, the total raised was well over $25,000! A special thank you to BB&J Dentistry and The Joint Chiropractic for their generous contributions and for helping to make this event so amazing!"
