Marissa Brown is a first-year resident in the Emory Medical Physics Imaging Residency and plans to pursue a career as a board-certified medical imaging physicist.
Marissa earned her BS in nuclear engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2019. In 2021, she joined the Radiological Sciences program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where she worked in the lab of Dr. Geoffrey Clarke.
During her time in the graduate program, she conducted research on magnetic resonance biomarkers of metabolic diseases. She completed her dissertation and earned her PhD in 2025.
