About Our Specialty Programs

Our specialty programs offer structured, skills-based treatment for specific concerns, including programs designed for particular age groups or diagnoses, led by clinicians with advanced training and certification in these approaches. Depending on the program, families can expect more frequent visits and a more active role in treatment.

Supporting Parent Relationships with Infants Through Early Childhood (SPRITE)

SPRITE specializes in supporting families with young children ages 0–5. It provide early, relationship-based mental health care for concerns such as sleep and feeding difficulties, tantrums and aggression, anxiety, challenges with learning or social development and recovery after stressful or traumatic experiences

Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

PCIT is an evidence-based treatment for young children (2-7 years) with disruptive behaviors (e.g., tantrums, defiance, aggression). Parents are coached in real time to build stronger connection, reduce power struggles and create more calm and predictable routines at home.

DBT for Families

DBT-C is a structured, family-based program that helps children (7-11 years) who experience intense emotions, frequent outbursts or difficulty regulating themselves. This program combines child skills-building with parent coaching to strengthen emotion regulation, frustration tolerance and effective family functioning.

Child OCD Program at Emory (COPE)

COPE a structured, intensive program for adolescents (12-18 years) with moderate to severe OCD delivered via telehealth. Using exposure and response prevention, we help teens face fears, reduce compulsions and get back to doing the things that matter most.
