Diandrea Wynn, MD

Diandrea grew up in Baltimore and earned her undergraduate degree in public health science from the University of Maryland, College Park, before pursuing medical training at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She has demonstrated a deep commitment to diversity, leadership and community engagement, recognized by numerous honors including the KUMC Kellyann Jones-Jamtgaard Commitment to Diversity Student Leader Award and multiple merit-based scholarships. Diandrea has served in several leadership roles, including president of the Student National Medical Association and Specialty Night Director for the KU School of Medicine free clinic, and led campus and community events such as the Regional Medical Education Conference and Annual Juneteenth Health Celebration. Her passion for public and community health is reflected in her work as a community health worker and as a disease case investigator during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she focused on patient education, trust-building and health equity.

• Future Plans: Exploring an addiction psychiatry fellowship, as well as interested in clinical research in the field

• Hobbies: In my free time, I enjoy exploring all the different events Atlanta has to offer. I also enjoy trying new fitness classes while balancing trying different restaurants that suit my pescatarian diet. I also enjoy listening to R&B music and traveling to new cities with family and friends.
