Chimmy earned her MBBS from Afe Babalola University College of Medicine and Health Sciences in Nigeria, graduating with honors and receiving multiple academic and service awards. During medical school, she was actively involved in student leadership, serving as vice president of the Drug-Free Club and class senate member for three years, where she worked diligently to promote student wellness and substance use awareness. Her clinical and research interests center on psychiatry and community mental health, shaped by research examining suicide attempts among psychiatric inpatients and strong commitment to service. Outside of medicine, Chimmy enjoys staying active through cycling, running, hiking, experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes, unwinding with a good book, dancing or trying new restaurants. She values balance, curiosity and connection, and brings those same qualities into her work with patients and colleagues.
