The Emory Center for New Medicines (CNM) is an integrated central hub for infrastructure, programming, and collaboration, dedicated to accelerating the translation of Emory discoveries into new therapeutics that will impact patients around the world.
Leveraging Emory's strength in innovative fundamental discoveries, the CNM helps investigators advance their drug discovery projects from the earliest stages — including screening to identify novel hits — through lead optimization and early pharmacology. By providing funding, expertise, and resources, the CNM aims to translate Emory discoveries into high-quality, de-risked therapeutic assets (novel agents, repurposed drugs, high value intellectual property/IP, etc.) that are well-positioned for handoff to industry partners equipped for further preclinical and clinical development.
Through targeted programming and training opportunities, CNM also seeks to cultivate the next generation of drug discovery scientists, fostering a culture of therapeutic innovation at Emory and across Atlanta's growing life sciences ecosystem.
