The American Glaucoma Society meeting of 2025 took place in Washington, DC, from February 26 to March 2 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. Celebrating 40 years of impact, the meeting honored the numerous founders of AGS while providing an exciting program that showcased high-caliber papers, posters, symposia, and breakfast roundtable discussions.

Daniel F. Martin, M.D., has joined the Emory Eye Center as vice chair of clinical affairs, effective Feb. 1. He returns to Emory after serving as chairman of the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute since December 2008. Prior to that, Martin was the Thomas M. Aaberg professor of ophthalmology and director of the Retina Service at Emory.

Dr. Wurster’s work in global ophthalmology focuses on overcoming barriers to care. In Ethiopia, he educates residents while addressing systemic issues, including financial struggles, lack of insurance, and physician retention.
