Emory Vision Research Joins Effort With Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology

On Feb 20, Emory faculty members and trainees visited the offices of Georgia Senators Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, and of Congresswoman Nikema Williams (Georgia's Fifth Congressional District), meeting with staff. During these meetings we discuss the importance of eye and vision research and advocated for continued funding support, including maintaining the National Eye Institute as a separate Institute within NIH. These visits were coordinated by the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, working together with the #SeeWhatMatters campaign (https://www.seewhatmatters.org/)
