Research Accomplishments
- Grants and awards totaling over $5 million in research funds since 2010, including major awards from Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), National Institutes for Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control.
- Faculty heavily engaged in leadership of primary specialty services within the Grady Memorial Hospital Primary Care Center, including Liver and Hepatitis C, International Medical Center, Procedure/Injection, Women’s Health, Congestive Heart Failure, Mental and Behavioral Health, and Lipids.
- General Internal Medicine also closely partners with Emory’s Urban Health Initiative. This partnership builds on relationships between Emory and the community, supporting community-focused research that addresses health disparities and identifies solutions to positively affect change to improve urban health.
