Diabetes Education for Professionals
The Emory Diabetes Education Training Academy offers FREE Continuing Medical Education activities, including in-person and virtual educational lectures. These lectures allow healthcare providers to receive the most up-to-date diabetes management recommendations to improve diabetes care.
Curriculum
The curriculum covers the American Diabetes Association (ADA) standards of care and the appropriate use of insulin: basal and basal-bolus regimen for patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). In addition, the sessions cover discussions on a variety of topics including microvascular and macrovascular complications and addressing diabetes self-management barriers for patients. Physicians and mid-level providers are encouraged to share their experiences and patients’ cases and address current challenges in their clinics.
