Letter from PD:
The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship prepares graduates of residencies in obstetrics and gynecology for a lifelong academic career in clinical perinatology (the management of medical, surgical, and obstetrical complications of pregnancy and high-risk pregnancies), teaching/education, and research. The three-year fellowship accepts one fellow per year.
MFM Fellows activities during each year include:
Year one:
Two months: Antepartum Service and ICU
Three months: Research
Seven months: Perinatal Center and High-Risk Clinics, Ultrasound, Amniocentesis, Consults
Year two:
One month: Antepartum Service and ICU
Five months: Perinatal Center and High-Risk Clinics, Ultrasound, Genetic Counseling, Amniocentesis, Consults
Six months: Research
Year three:
One month: Antepartum Service and ICU
Three months: Elective
Three months: Research
Five months: Perinatal, Center, Ultrasound, Genetic Counseling, Amniocentesis, Consults
