Why Emory EM?
I chose Emory EM after doing an away rotation and realizing it was the right fit. I loved the patient population at Grady and what the hospital means to Atlanta, and having that experience alongside all the opportunities and expertise at Emory gave me the best of both worlds.
Interest within EM?
- I'm really interested in social EM, particularly firearm injury prevention and improving care for immigrant communities. I'm also passionate about medical education and mentorship.
5- year plan
I don't have it all figured out, but I could see myself getting involved in residency or medical education leadership down the road. I also hope to stay in Atlanta for the foreseeable future.
What would you be doing if you weren’t in Emergency Medicine?
If I wasn't in EM, or medicine at all for that matter, I think I would have been a professional makeup artist! I've always loved makeup and the creativity behind it, and it's one of the few things outside of medicine that I could see myself turning into a career.

1. I’ve broken my femur (twice)
2. I did competitive cheerleading all through college
What would your superpower be?
My superpower would be either flying or teleportation. I love traveling, meeting new people, and trying new foods, so anything that made getting to new places easier would be ideal.
