Dear colleagues,  

 

At the School of Medicine, our mission to reimagine health care is made possible by the exceptional dedication of our faculty. Innovation in education, clinical care, and research drives this vision forward. Yesterday, we honored our colleagues’ contributions to education and clinical care; today, we turn our focus to research and innovation.  

 

Our achievements in clinical care are complemented by the remarkable work of our researchers. We celebrate their contributions with the MilliPub Club, recognizing faculty who have published individual papers that each exceed 1,000 citations throughout their careers. We also acknowledge the Emory 1% Awards, which honor faculty with grant proposals scoring in the top percentile during study sections.  

 

Addressing today’s challenges in health care demands a community of creative thinkers ready to reshape our understanding of medicine. We proudly present the new Excellence in Research Awards, honoring faculty engaged in outstanding and pioneering research.  

 

Research excellence is best measured through innovative discoveries, and Emory’s School of Medicine is home to many game-changing research innovations. To recognize our faculty inventors, innovators, and entrepreneurs whose contributions significantly impact human health, we created the Innovation for Impact Award.  

 

Finally, the Scientific Integrity Award is presented to a faculty member dedicated to upholding the highest standards of honesty and objectivity in research.  

 

Congratulations to this year’s award recipients and to all faculty who have achieved impact through high-impact scholarship, innovative research, and an unwavering commitment to scientific integrity.
