March 29, 2023
Dear colleagues and friends:
Tomorrow, March 30, is National Doctors’ Day. This annual observance is an opportunity to celebrate and thank our SOM faculty members who provide skilled, compassionate patient care all year long. Each year, the SOM Recognitions Committee asks you to nominate fellow doctors who go above and beyond, improving the lives of patients and inspiring colleagues and learners.
This year you nominated more than 200 faculty members – a new record for nominations! After careful review, the committee selected faculty members who best exemplify our values. I encourage you to read through the comments next to each featured physician; you will find an incredible range of unique qualities and strengths that when combined lead to outstanding patient care.
Join us in celebrating the faculty recognized here on social media or post a tribute to another physician colleague. Be sure to tag Emory School of Medicine in your Doctors’ Day posts and use #EmoryDoctorsDay2023 and #EmoryMed.
Finally, if you will be in one of the clinical locations listed below, be sure to stop by for a token of appreciation:
- Grady: Grab and go breakfast available 6:30 – 9 a.m. in the Faculty Office Building, first floor lobby lounge
-
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta: Drop-in lunch and dessert available at multiple times and locations
-
Emory Healthcare: Multiple activities; check with your hospital location for details
It is an honor to be part of this team.
With thanks and congratulations,
Carlos
