Definition of Rates

Base Rate:  rate calculated, according to NIH regulations, that estimates as closely as possible the cost to provide the service.

Non-Academic Rate:  The base rate inflated by no more than the current NIH on campus F&A rate ( 55%) to be charged for work done for a for-profit organization that is not tied to a faculty member at an academic institution.

Prices effective as of February 1, 2013.

* Time not pre-booked:  This time is available on an ad hoc basis.  Investigators can use the scanner when it is not being used by a funded project that pre-booked the time in advance.  This usage does not have priority, can only be scheduled during our normal business hours (8:00a.m. - 6:00p.m.; Monday-Friday; excludes university observed holidays), and is subject to being bumped by Funded and Pilot Projects.

**  Overnight (weekdays 6:30pm-8:00am)/Weekend Rate:  $500/per day (Does not require BITC Technician to run the scanner.  Open only to trained users.)
