PA Class of 2016 Donates Winter Coats

Coats

Thanks to a winter coat drive by the Emory PA class of 2016, students at Brown Middle School, an Atlanta Public School will have a warmer winter.  The class collected 100 winter coats. Students who were unable to donate coats, donated cash and c/o 2016’s, Philanthropic committee led by Jessica Smith shopped the Goodwill for additional coats and winter items to donate to Brown Middle.

Principal Crumes of Brown Middle School was in tears when we arrived with boxes and boxes of winter items and in gratitude hugged the necks of each c/o 2016 student who came along on this meet & greet to represent all Emory PA students! The assistant principal shared that he has witnessed children arrive at school wrapped in blankets and sheets. “I’m speechless because you all did not have to do this…thank you Emory” principal Crumes repeated over and over again.

This Winter Coat Drive outreach effort was led by c/o 2016 Philanthropic committee chair, Jessica Smith with insight from c/o 2014’s Philanthropic committee chair, Rebecca Perthel!

A huge thank you to every student who participated, your gifts were truly a highlight of this schools day. Outreach is always about the giving, however, it makes it just that more special when the population you’ve chosen to serve is so very grateful and Brown Middle School principal and assistant principal went over and beyond to express how much Emory PA programs donation will impact their students directly.
