PA Students, Staff, and Faculty at Hosea Feed the Hungry 2014

hosea1

Several Emory PA students, staff and faculty gave up time on Thansgiving day to help provide medical care and care supplies at the  Hosea Feed the Hungry Thanksgiving 2014 event in downtown Atlanta.

For starters, Emory PA’s interdisciplinary approach is becoming our staple in our service learning efforts, collaborating with Morehouse School of Medicine with Dr. Frank Jones at the helm, over 203 homeless or displaced individuals, couples, and families were cared for.  It was as if students and faculty from  both groups had worked together before, moving about that day without a glitch.  Providing free healthcare services was just the minimum of what our neediest neighbors received on Thanksgiving Day.  Because of you, they felt loved, cared for, and most of all like they mattered.

"Thursday as we closed down the shift about 4 or so, I felt so proud to be a part of the greatest PA program in the country. Thank you for making what I do so easy and so fulfilling." -

Alisha Smith,Community Projects Coordinator, MA
