Emory PA students join in Health Innovations Program

HealthInnovations2013 Emory PA student Meredith Brazell presented the PA profession as a solution and 2014 PA student Kim Rogers was part of the organizing committee for this first of its kind event.

Dr. Fred Sanfilippo with the Emory-Georgia Tech Healthcare Innovation Program (HIP) and the Atlanta Clinical & Translational Science Institute (ACTSI) presented:  Student Perspectives Symposium which was held on October 9th from 4:30-8:30PM at Emory University. The topic of this symposium is “US Healthcare: What’s Broken and How to Fix It?”. The symposium featured students presenting from seven different disciplines which include pre-health, medicine, public health, nursing, business, engineering, and allied health. We intend for the symposium to be a dynamic, student-driven/student-run event underscoring the importance of an interdisciplinary & creative approach to identifying the key problems and solutions in US Healthcare. This event will be followed by a dinner and networking reception, which is an opportunity for students to interact with professionals from the community to discuss non-provider health-related professions. Below is the list of the different disciplines and topics that will be presented:
