Personal Profile:  I grew up on a farm in rural South Georgia in a town named Fitzgerald, GA.  The values of hard work and personal responsibility were instilled at an early age and have served me well in my career.  After high school, I received a scholarship to attend Ga. Tech as a Student Athletic Trainer where I received my degree in Applied Biology.  From Tech, I worked as a microbiology technical representative while preparing for PA School.  In 1993, I began PA School at Emory and began a position with The Emory Clinic in Cardiothoracic Surgery.  I have also had the pleasure of a diverse career including positions in Interventional Radiology and General Pediatrics.  I am currently working in General Pediatrics and teaching part time at both Emory’s and Mercer’s PA Programs. Additionally, I have my own company where I place Ultrasound guided venous access devices for metro Atlanta hospitals.

Interests:              I enjoy spending time with my wife and 2 daughters in our RV and you can usually find us at a softball complex as both of my girls play travel softball.  I also love outdoor cooking for my friends and family.  I enjoy teaching and sharing my experiences with the students around me.  I am also an amateur shutterbug and enjoy sports photography.
