Dana Sayre-Stanhope is an Associate Professor in the Physician Assistant Division of the Family and Preventivie MedicineDepartment at the Emory University School of Medicine. Additional current roles include the founding President and now Chairman of the Board of the International Academy of Physician Associate Educators, She served as the Chair of the Accreditaiton Review Commission for Physician Assistants and Secretary-Treasurer and President of the Physician Assistant Education Association. Dana completed her PA training at the University of Colorado Child Health Associate program, and received a doctor of education from the University of Florida. She founded physician assistant programs at Quinnipiac University and Samuel Merritt University. Recent educational efforts have focused on curriculum development both domestically and internationally most recently in South Africa. Dana has also done international work in Ghana, Rwanda, Japan and the United Kingdom. Dana and her husband Bill share their home with three fur children. When she has a few minutes she spends it reading, traveling and growing orchids.
