Network Connectivity |
SOM IT will troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues up to the router. Any network issues beyond the router will be directed to the Network Communications Division. SOM IT will manage IP number requests with the assistance of the department’s Access Coordinator. The departmental Access Coordinator will be responsible for requesting security login IDs from Emory Healthcare. |

LAN Line Requests |
Department will oversee site evaluation and will be involved with the contracting company performing the line installations. The departments will be responsible for all accounting and billing functions with the contracting company. |

Hardware and Software Purchases |
SOM IT will advise on hardware and software purchases as requested by the requesting department. The SOM IT department will not order, pick up or deliver any purchases. |
|
Hardware Setup and Relocation |
SOM IT will setup computer hardware providing the equipment has been delivered onsite. The SOM IT will not move any equipment nor will the department setup up non-PC related equipment. |

Hardware Configuration |
SOM IT will install, remove or alter PC components including hard drive, RAM, modems, NIC, etc. |
