House Staff Orientation


Incoming residents and fellows are required to go through Online Orientation at the Emory PeopleSoft pre-hire website (  All required documents must be submitted to the GME office by April 30 of your incoming year.  Use your Emory NetID and refer to your contract package cover letter for log in instrucitons. 

House Staff Orientation

Incoming residents and fellows are required to attend one full day of GME Orientation, which is usually scheduled in the last week of June. Please check with your Program Coordinator for your assigned date. You may come to Orientation on that day only.

Things you must bring to Orientation:

  1. Identification Documentation: Orginial of your actual 1-9 verification ID documentation  PLUS ONE COPY.
  2. Emory Parking: Complete the Emory Parking Registration Form and return to orientation. You have the option to choose one of the two options below for parking:

    Michael Street Parking Deck located at 550 Houston Mill Road, Atlanta, Ga. 30322
    Peavine Parking Deck located at 29 Eagle Row, Atlanta, Ga. 30322
    Clairmont Campus Parking Deck
    located at 1945 Starvine Way, Atlanta, GA 30033

Your Emory Main Campus Parking Permits will be distributed during your GME Orientation. Parking registration for Grady hospital will be distributed during GME Orientation. Information for parking on other training sites will be available through your program coordinator.All Emory parking questions should be addressed to the Emory Parking Office:, or 404.727.7275 (727.PARK).

3. Grady Parking: $10 (cash or check payable to AAA parking) to obtain Grady parking permit.
