The popularity of new weight management drugs like the semaglutide Wegovy/Ozempic have skyrocketed. Panelists had the chance to ask Emory doctors any and all questions about the drugs, such as: How do they work? Are there side effects? Do you have to stay on them for life?

Daniel F. Martin has joined the Emory Eye Center as vice chair of clinical affairs, effective Feb. 1. He returns to Emory after serving as chairman of the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute since December 2008.

Emory researcher Azra Ismail, professor of biomedical informatics at the School of Medicine, has pioneered a mobile-based AI chatbot providing information about issues like family planning, pregnancy care and even basic reproductive anatomy.

Emory physician assistant (PA) faculty travel to South Georgia to provide care to farmworkers through the Emory Farmworker Project, and learn about rural medicine and the impact of social determinants of health on the health of these communities.
