Nanette K Wenger, M.D.

Long Description: Dr. Wenger has a major interest in clinical teaching both for the Department of Medicine and for the Division of Cardiology. As Director of the Cardiac Clinics at Grady Memorial Hospital, she has trained almost 500 fellows and residents in the ambulatory care of patients with cardiovascular illnesses. She has been importantly involved in the senior Cardiology elective at Grady Memorial Hospital, as well as with the teaching of Physician Assistant students on elective in Cardiology. At the Emory University Commencement in 2004, Dr. Wenger received the Emory Williams Distinguished Teaching Award of the University, and the Evangeline Papageorge Teaching Award of the Emory University School of Medicine. In 2005, she received the J. Willis Hurst Residency Program Award of the Department of Medicine, and in 2006 the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Graduating Cardiovascular Fellowship Class.
