Bio

Dr. Khalid is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology. She graduated from Rampago College (BS), attained a Master’s in Human Nutition at the University of Bridgeport, and received her Doctorate of Medicine at the American University of the Caribbean Montserrat. Dr. Khalid completed her residency in family practice at Somerset Medical Center/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and geriatrics fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Khalid is board certified in family practice and geriatric medicine.

Clinical

Her clinical practice is based at the Emory Clinic, Wesley Woods Geriatric Hospital, caring for patients in primary care geriatrics.

Teaching

Dr. Khalid has presented updated scientific data monthly at Geriatrics Journal Club. She has participated in Hospice Care Seminar at Alive Hospice, Geriatric Grand Rounds: Urinary Incontinence in the Elderly, and Geriatric Grand Rounds: Agitation and Psychosis in the Elderly.

Service

Dr. Khalid provides free healthcare to indigent population every 3 months. Previously, she has periodically provided social and psychological assistance to family members at Alive Hospice and participated in breast cancer screening clinic by obtaining histories, teaching self-examinations, and patient education.
