Research Focus  

Active research programs are related to the role of the liver in acute lung injury, stem cells in lung inflammation and repair, gene therapy as an anti-inflammatory strategy and inflammation and repair in the aging lung.

Dr. Brigham’s clinical interests are in acute lung injury and cystic fibrosis in adults. He directed the Division of Allergy Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Vanderbilt for 20 years before joining the Emory faculty.
