Graduate Medical Education

The School of Medicine offers one of the largest graduate medical education programs in the country. The Emory University Affiliated Hospitals Residency Training Program has more than one thousand residents and fellows. More than eighty-seven residency/fellowship training programs are offered. These programs are recognized toward the fulfillment of the requirements of the respective specialty certification boards.

  • The Shepherd Center

The residency training program and its affiliated hospitals participate in the National Residency Matching Program and offer approximately 225 first-year positions.
