October 15 (midnight Eastern time) is the Emory deadline for completion of the AMCAS application.

December 1 (midnight Eastern time) is the deadline for receipt of the Emory Supplemental Application, including a $120 application fee and a photograph. The letters of recommendation must be submitted electronically via the AMCAS Letter Service no later than December 1.

Fee waivers of the Emory Supplemental Application fee are granted to those applicants for whom AMCAS has waived its application fee.

Applications to the MD/PhD and MD/MPH programs, as well as all application materials (letters, application fee, and photograph), are also due December 1.

All completed applications will be reviewed. Selected applicants will be invited for an interview at the School of Medicine. A personal interview is required. There are no exceptions to this requirement.

The Admissions Committee will meet monthly during the interview season (October - February) and will select applicants for acceptance. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance via letter. Applicants who are not selected for admission will remain in consideration for all subsequent Admissions Committee meetings. No completed applicant is rejected during the interview season.

Accepted Students

Accepted applicants to the first-year class are required to sign a Statement of Intent to reserve a position in the class. The deadline for students to make a final choice in medical schools is May 15. No admissions deposit is required.

Accepted students must also submit all required forms, documentation, releases, agreements, transcripts, and pre-orientation training courses prior to matriculation. Specific items and deadlines will be communicated each spring to accepted students.

Physical Examination and Immunizations

A physical examination report and an updated immunization record, recorded on University forms, are required upon matriculation to the School of Medicine. Students are not fully registered until these reports are on file with the Emory University Student Health Service. An updated medical history is required for reenrollment after a year or more lapse in attendance. For readmission after withdrawal for medical reasons, medical clearance by designated University health officials is required.
