Biography

Dr. Fas received his BS Degree in Biochemistry in 1989 at Texas A & M University in College Station, Texas and his MD Degree in 1992 from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan. His Internship and Residency was completed in Internal Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine Affiliated Program, Atlanta, Georgia.

He is boarded in Internal Medicine and has been with Team Atlanta since July 1996. In January 2003, he was appointed as the Associate Chief of Staff for Education. He also concurrently serves as Supervising Physician for Employee Health Clinic and Physician reviewer for the Fee Basis Program.

Dr. Fas has numerous awards and honors to his credit in addition to active membership on a number of committees and councils for Emory University and the Atlanta VA. Currently, Dr. Fas is Assistant Dean for Graduate Medical Education and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine and adjunct Assistant Professor of Preventive and Family Medicine.
