People tend to get hung up on my name, but that's fine with me. I enjoy playing guitar and singing (actually), food (brunch in atlanta is amazing). In my free time I hang out with my friends who cook delicious vegan food, I run around the belt-line/hike/lift things,  and read philosophy (american pragmatism and theology/apologetics).

My interests are primarily in developing strategies for transplant tolerance. Our lab seeks to develop and translate novel immunologic therapies which act to induce allograft tolerance, historically through the blockade of the B7-CD28 costimulatory interaction which led to the development of Belatacept, FDA approved in 2011 as a therapy for kidney transplant recipients. Further, I'm interested in immune memory, low cost diagnostics, and mining clinical data.
